The Red Rock Story

Russ and Sherry Berger opened their first restaurant in December of 1990, on Berkeley Street in Boston's South End. Several years and several restaurants later they had had enough of the commute back and forth to Boston. The Bergers bought the old Wildwood Lounge on Main St in Upton, and after 5 months of intense reconstruction

Red Rock was ready to open. On Valentine's Day in 2011 Russ and Sherry opened the doors and invited the community into their "Rustic Chic" world full of comfort food inspired dishes.

After almost 12 years of giving their all to Red Rock, the Bergers made the decision to move on from the restaurant business and started the search for someone amazing to take the reins. After months of the perfect candidate presented themselves; a woman from Upton with teenage sons and a passion for the food industry, Stela Kourkouliotis. Born and raised in Upton, Stela comes from a family of restauranteurs, her parents owning several restaurant and local pizza places and a sister who owns a diner on the North Shore. Stela has a background in finance and sales but has never lost her love for the restaurant business. She is eager to bring fresh perspective to the incredible restaurant that Russ, Sherry, and the Red Rock Family has created.
